Coletex-SFG-1 Wound Dressing with Furagin and Sodium Alginate: 6x10cm

Product Description:

Coletex SFG-1 sterile wound dressing with sodium alginate and furagin offers a superior alternative to traditional peroxide, iodine, and bandages. Its innovative textile material effectively absorbs blood, while the furagin antiseptic reliably combats bacteria. The natural biopolymer, sodium alginate, promotes faster wound healing. Coletex dressings are the ideal addition to any first-aid kit – simple, convenient, and reliable. Available in tampon (6x10cm) and adhesive-edged (10x14cm) formats.

Indications:

• Early post-operative wound closure: Ideal for treating fresh surgical wounds, cuts, and fissures (during the initial phase of wound healing).
• Treatment of chronic, slow-healing, granulating wounds: Effective for managing wounds such as pressure ulcers, diaper rash, and trophic ulcers, even in cases of incomplete microbial clearance, preparing the wound for secondary surgical treatment or autodermoplasty.
• Local treatment of purulent-inflammatory diseases: Provides effective relief for conditions like periodontitis, stomatitis, opened abscesses, furuncles, and phlegmons.
• Suitable for wounds with moist necrotic foci: The presence of small, moist necrotic areas does not prevent the application of Coletex-SFG-1. Necrotic tissue is typically rejected after 1-3 dressing changes.
• Compatible with physiotherapy: Laser therapy and photopheresis can be performed through dressings containing furagin.

Contraindications:

Use of Coletex-SFG-1 is contraindicated in cases of individual intolerance to furagin or other components of the textile-biopolymer base.

Instructions for Use:

1. Cleanse the wound (ulcer) according to standard procedures.
2. Remove the dressing from its packaging and moisten with water or saline solution.
3. Apply the dressing to the wound or injured area of skin and secure with a tubular or adhesive bandage.
4. Reapply moisture as needed. Ensure the dressing overlaps the wound by at least 1-2 cm. For larger wounds, apply dressings using an overlapping "shingle" technique.
5. The dressing may be left in place for up to 3 days.
6. Suitable for both inpatient and outpatient use.

Specific Instructions for Chronic Wounds & Abscesses:

Chronic Wounds:

For treating superficial purulent, slow-healing, granulating wounds (including pressure ulcers, diaper rash, and trophic ulcers), cleanse the wound and surrounding skin with an antiseptic solution before applying the Coletex dressing with furagin, following the same procedure as for postoperative wounds. If there is abundant wound exudate, moistening with saline may not be necessary. A dry dressing loses its therapeutic activity and may cause discomfort. Moisten the dressing with saline 1-2 times daily, removing the top layers.

Abscesses, Phlegmons:

After surgical treatment and drainage of a purulent focus, insert polyamide drains wrapped with a Coletex dressing (medicinal side facing the wound) into the cavity. Change dressings and drains daily for the first 5 days, or twice daily if there is abundant exudate. Thereafter, change dressings as needed (but ensure the dressing remains in place for no more than 2-3 days).

Shelf Life:

3 years. Do not use after the expiry date printed on the packaging.
