Footberg sterile plain gut suture is a natural, rapidly absorbable surgical suture material. This 100-meter, needleless spool (USP 0 Metric 4) is supplied in a sterile, solution-filled plastic cassette. Manufactured from purified submucosal connective tissue of sheep small intestine or bovine serosal intestinal layer, it offers exceptional strength and tear resistance. Ideal for soft tissue approximation and ligation during surgical procedures, its rapid absorption eliminates the need for suture removal.

Instructions for Use

1. Remove the cassette from its individual sterile packaging. Perform appropriate disinfection.
2. In a sterile field, remove the cap and plug.
3. Using sterile forceps, gently pull at least 2cm of suture from the cassette and cut.
4. Withdraw the required length of suture and cut with sterile scissors close to the cassette opening.
5. After use, replace the plug and cap on the cassette.
6. Do not remove the barrier cap unless necessary.
